Bremer Ratskeller Spaetburgunder "Angiolino" Pfalz 2012 (4.3/5)

The Ratskeller (council wine cellar) of Bremen is one of the oldest wine cellars of Germany and, with its 600 years of history, it has several great treasures to offer to the visitors.

The wine appears medium+ ruby with good legs. On the nose offers vibrant hedgerow fruits, cherries, cedar and mineral tones. On the palate is dry and savoury, medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium+ body with good grip on the mid malate and medium+ finish. Elegant and poised, not so dissimilar from some Valtellina Nebbiolos.

Very good quality, High Price, approachable now but it has the backbone for a graceful ageing, 100% Spaetburgunder "Angiolino"(named after the italian sommelier Angiolino Amato), Pfalz, Germany.
