Bodegas Toro Albala, Pedro Ximenez,Gran Reserva 1983 (4.5/5)

It appears Dark mahogany, Thick viscosity and tears. On the nose is clean, offering intense notes of liquorice and dates, coffee cream, tar and graphite, balsamic spices and aged Pu-erh tea leaves.
On the palate is luscious and balanced, recalling the nose and with enhanced caramel and molasses notes. 17% Alcohol. Good complexity and quite long finish. Indulging over the top of vanilla ice cream and then drinking it alone all night long.
Very good quality, Premium Price (but excellent quality/price ratio), 100% sun-dried Pedro Ximénez, oxidative aging for 25years in American Oak, Montilla-Moriles, Andalucia, Spain.
