Already cited in 1970 by Mario Soldati in his legendary book 'Vino al Vino' - Alla ricerca dei vini genuini. At that time Sicilian fine wines were just a handful!

Notes: It appears medium ruby with good legs. On the nose it's clean offering med+ intensity of mulberry and plum with spices and bay leaf and Mediterranean garrigue. On the palate is dry, with balanced refreshing med+ acidity, med+ tannins, med alcohol, medium+ body. Good concentration, elegant and poised. Med+ finish. Delicate enough to go together with wild fennel and swordfish pasta and earthy enough to match snails a la Sicilienne!
Very Good quality, Drink Now or hold 5+ years, Med Price. 80% Nerello Mascalese, 20% Nerello mantellato (Cappuccio). Etna (Milo), Sicily, Italy.
