Cariglio Terre Nobili 2013 (3.8/5)

Tasting Notes:

It appears deep ruby red with good legs.

On the nose it's clean an very modern (so modern and fruity that I bet was sort of Chilean Carignan) offering vibrant notes of blackberries and raspberry, violets, juniper and liquorice together with creamy and caramelised accents that make me think some oak alternatives have been used during winemaking (the website says wine has been fermented and aged only in stain steel tanks).

On the palate is dry, with nice med+ acidity, med+ tannins, med+ alcohol, medium+ body with very good concentration and intensity on the mid palate. Med+ finish.

I would not call it a Terroir Wine, but its pleasant character will allure many.

Very Good quality, Drink Now but or in the next few years, High Price. Organic 80% Magliocco Dolce 20% Magliocco Canino, Calabria IGT, Italy.
