Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2010 (4.7/5)

Tasting Notes:

It appears dark deep ruby with very good legs.

On the nose it's clean offering, with medium+ intensity, notes of dark plums and cherries, marked haematic/mineral tone, spices, patchouli and cedarwood, balsamic hints of forest floor and liquorice on the finish. Very rich, meaty and complex.

On the palate is dry, with balanced med+ acidity, good and fine tannin structure, med+ alcohol, full body with very good concentration on mid palate and an inner tension that will ensure a wonderful future to this wine. Med+ finish.

Outstanding quality, Approachable Now but it will reward the patient connoisseur, Premium Price (but good value for money). Sangiovese grosso, Montalcino, Toscana, Italy.
