Famille Perrin Peyre Blanche Cairanne 2013 (4/5)

It appears medium+ ruby red with good tears. On the nose it's clean offering, with medium+ intensity, notes of red cherries, redcurrants and raspberries, spice box and hints of garrigue. A mineral chalky vein as well. The blend is Grenache-dominated but the wine has a cool/vibrant/lively character that is quite far away from other similar blends coming from elsewhere in Cote-du-Rhone.

On the palate is dry, with med+ acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body. Medium finish. Not super complex but very honest and pleasant. It delivers huge value for money.

Very Good quality. Drink Now but has the backbone to keep evolving for another 5-10 years, Medium Price. 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah, Cairanne, Rhone Valley, France.
