O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 (4.8/5)

Notes:
It appears opaque black purple with very good legs. On the nose it's clean offering intense notes of cassis, ripe blackberries, blueberries, cedar, graphite, toast and flint, coffee beans and cocoa, hints dried violets and lavender and pine.

On the palate is dry, with balanced acidity, gorgeous tannic structure, med+ alcohol, full body with considerable extraction yet good freshness and elegance, solid mid palate and long finish.

Outstanding quality, Approachable now but will improve and keep for two decades. Premium Price. 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 4% Malbec, 3% St. Macaire, 2% Carmenere, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, Howell Mountain, Napa Valley, USA.
