Chateau Gazin 2005 (4.7/5)

It appears deep ruby-garnet with good tears. On the nose it's clean offering med+ intensity of cedar, tobacco, concentrated plum sauce and blackberries, mineral iron and iodine hints, lots of chocolate dust and some backed spices and truffles. Evolved herbal accents in the form of underbrush are present as well.

On the palate is dry, with medium acidity, medium+ fine (chocolate powder) tannins, medium alcohol, medium+ body and very good concentration of flavor on the mid palate. Quite a long finish finish. Oak contribution is marked but very well integrated and evolved with time. The wine remains true to its own terroir and I found it delicious at this stage.

Outstanding quality, Drink Now will keep going for a decade at least, Premium Price. 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet franc, Pomerol, Bordeaux, France.
