Araujo Estate Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 (4.2/5)
The wine appears med+ ruby garnet, far from the impenetrable blackish bombs produced elsewhere in the Valley, very good slow tears.
Decanted, on the nose offers, with med+ intensity, sweet cherries and plums, tobacco, dusty cocoa, leather, loamy soil and mineral notes. The wine is floral as well. It's very classy and aristocratic on the nose.
The palate attacks with sweet fruity notes but is unbalanced by a pronounced heat from alcohol. The wine has medium acidity and smooth tannins, medium+ to full body, soft supple texture and good flavor intensity. Not the longest finish, but still good persistence.
Very Good quality, Approachable Now but will keep for a decade, Premium Price. 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Napa Valley, California, USA.
