I Fabbri Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2011 [ btl. no. 2102/2300 ] (4.5/5)

It appears medium+ ruby garnet with good tears. On the nose offers a complex mix of cherries, loamy soil, tobacco leaves, cedar wood, chocolate, liquorice root, mineral iron (hematic notes), currants and blood oranges come also later. Lamole remains one of the best sub-region of Chianti Classico. When Sangiovese is wisely treated, it becomes a vector of Terroir, like Pinot Noir in Burgundy.

On the palate the wine is dry, with med tannins, med+ acidity, med+ alcohol, med+ body with consistent mid palate and  medium+ finish.
Very good to Outstanding quality. Drink Now but can improve in the next 5 years or more.  100% Sangiovese grosso di Lamole, Greve in Chainti, Tuscany, Italy.
