Corison Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 (4.9/5)

Notes: It's deep purple with very good legs. On the nose it's clean offering, with med+ intensity, vibrant notes of blackberries, currants and blueberries followed by sweet violets, light tobacco leaves, spicy and balsamic hints, and intriguing mineral notes of flint and pencil shavings.
On the palate is dry, with med+ acidity, med+ tannins, medium alcohol alcohol (unbelievable 13.6% if you compare with other Napa peers), full body, with such cool presence and purity of fruit on the mid palate and a layered tannic weave supporting the quite long finish. This is a benchmark Napa Cabernet with such high level of balance, elegance and pleasure rarely seen in the valley these days.
Outstanding quality, drink now but will benefit cellaring, Premium Price, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford, Napa Valley, California, USA.
