Celler Mas Doix, Les Crestes 2009 (4/5)

It comes from the younger vines of Mas Doix. It's produced in a modern, expressive style, yet respectful of the Priorat's terroir.

It appears medium ruby with very good tears. On the nose it's clean, med+ intensity, plums, cherries, redcurrants, liquorice, thyme. Mineral notes as well, paired by hints of cedar and coffe beans.

On the palate is dry, with med+ acidity keeping the wine lively, medium (silky) tannins, high alcohol, medium+ body with  good concentration of flavors. Med to Med+ finish.

Very Good quality, Drink Now or in the next couple of years. High Price (but good value for money in the context of Priorat),
80% Garnacha, 10% Carinena, 10 % Syrah, Poboleda, Priorat, Spain.
