Bonterra Vineyards The Butler 2007 (4/5)

Notes:

Rhone style from the Butler Ranch single vineyard in Mendocino.
It appears deep ruby purple with purple with good legs. On the nose it's clean offering, with  med+ intensity, notes of damsons and blackberries, cedar and chocolate, pepper and liquorice surrounded by soft and creamy diary notes recalled also on the palate.

On the palate is dry, with med+ acidity, med+ dusty tannins, med+ alcohol, med+ body. Good concentration of fruit and judicious use of oak. Med+ persistence.

Very Good quality, Approachable Now but will Keep going for several years, High Price but very good value for money, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Petite Sirah, Butler Ranch, Mendocino, California, USA.
