Basilisco Aglianico del Vulture 2008 (4.5/5)

Notes:
It appears deep ruby with purple core and very good legs. On the nose it's clean offering, with  med+ intensity, notes of blackberries, ripe prunes, black cherries, cedar and tobacco, cocoa powder and a good mineral verve. Quite a modern style, but still very respectful of grape variety and terroir expression.
On the palate is dry, with med+ acidity, med+ (velvety) tannins, med+ alcohol, full body. Very good concentration of fruit framed in a balanced tannic/acid structure. Quite long persistence.
Very Good quality, Approachable Now but will gain some complexity and keep for not less than a decade, Premium Price, Aglianico del Vulture, Basilicata, Italy.
