The Vineyardist Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 (4.6/5)

Notes: Opaque impenetrable ruby purple with very good legs. On the nose it's clean offering an explosive, vibrant and sexy showing of blackberries, wild berries compote, black cherries, black currants, very floral with violets and mineral with graphite notes, hints of cocoa and tobacco are very hidden by its primary beauty. On the palate is dry, medium acidity, medium tannins, high but well hidden alcohol, full body with pronounced flavour intensity, richness and plushness on the chewable mid palate and a med+ finish. An hedonistic example of modern "boutique" Napa Cab, yet offering great balance and a sense of place.
Outstanding quality,  approachable now but it would be interesting to follow its evolution in the next decade or so, Premium Price. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley, USA.
