Notes: It appears deep ruby with good legs. On the nose it's clean offering med/med+ notes of black fruits, cedar wood, fresh floral hints, mineral crushed stones, sweet spices. On the palate is dry, with med+ acidity, medium tannins, med+ alcohol, medium+ body with good concentration on the mid palate and Med+ finish. A modern, extremely enjoyable, Rioja, yet respectful of its own terroir.
Very Good quality, ready to drink but can further develop in the next few years. Premium Price. 70% tempranillo, 20% garnacha, 7% mazuelo and 3% graciano, Rioja Alta, Spain.

When I think to Rioja's different winemaking approaches, I like to imagine the "modernists" adding sweet softness and approachability by increasing the percentage of garnacha and adding spicy tightness by means of french oak; on the other hand,  I imagine the "traditionalists" adding spicy tightness by means of high percentage of tempranillo and adding sweet softness and approachability by using long maturation in american oak.
