Montevertine "Montevertine" Toscana Rosso 2011 (4.7/11)

It appears medium to deep ruby with good tears. On the nose it's quite shy and closed at the moment but definitely showing a shy but complex succession of dark cherries, cranberries and raspberries, sweet pipe tobacco, dried flowers, menthol and some white pepper with a earthy vein. On the palate is dry, with med/med+ tannins, med+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, med to med+ body, with tightly bonded layers developing towards a medium+ finish. Restrained and Elegant.
Very good to Outstanding quality. It can be approachable now but better to wait couple of year to let it completely opening up. It will keep and develop for 10+ years.  90% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and Colorino, Radda in Chainti, Tuscany, Italy.
