Selvanova Aglianico 2006 (4.6/5)
Notes: It appears deep garnet with very dark core and very good legs. On the nose it's clean offering med+ notes of prunes, mulberries, black cherries, ashes, unsmoked tobacco leaves, leather, dusty chocolate, mediterranean bushes and some rose petals on the end. On the palate is dry, with med+ to high acidity, med+ tannins (calmed down by the age), med+ alcohol, full body. There is great complexity here but the fruit core is a bit fading down, leaving a shorter palate than what you would expect. Anyway it's a beauty.
Very Good quality, Drink Now but will remain at his peak still for few years (I have to say I've noticed some bottle variation most likely due to the corks variation by the way), Premium Price, Aglianico, Terre del Vulturno, Campania, Italy.
