Chateau Sociando Mallet 2010 (4.2/5)

Notes: Deep ruby purple still a baby in the color, good legs. On the nose it's clean, med intensity of wet rocks and leaves and earth/graphite prevail on the fruits that follows with racy raspberries and blackcurrants, oak is quite invisible here (just a hint of cedar) and the wine has a black/white pepper character and some liquorice too. Very interesting and very Medoc-like but will need time to fully develop. On the palate is dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannins, medium alcohol, medium+ body with very good flavor intensity. I was expecting much longer finish but it falls a bit shorter than expected (med- finish).
Very Good quality, Needs time to develop, try again in 5 years but will keep for decades, Premium Price. 55% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux, France.
