Chateau d’Yquem 1998 (4.6/5)
Notes: It appears lemon-gold with oily viscosity. On the nose it's clean offering intense tropical fruits, lychees, jasmine flowers, honey and -only after- orange marmalade (botrytis notes) and apricots. Complex but delicate and elegant. On the palate is sweet, with balanced high acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ body with very good mid palate (elegance more than concentration) and pronounced flavor intensity. M+ to Long finish.
Not the best vintage but definitely Very Good quality, Drink Now or hold 30+ years, Premium Price. Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, Sauternes, Bordeaux, France.
