Chateau Capion "Le Juge" 2008 (4/5)
Notes: It appears clear, deep ruby/purple with good legs. On the nose it's clean offering M+ intensity of cherries and blackberries with sweet vanilla biscuits, sweet liquorice root, toasted coffee beans. Although the french oak elements are quite much apparent, this wine show a typical Lengadocian nose, so that the barrel is not killing the terroir expression. On the palate is dry, with good M+ acidity, M tannins, M+ alcohol, M body, with a (unfortunately a bit harsh/green ) M+ finish.
