Kenzo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Ai 2009 (4.7/5)

Notes: It appears deep garnet with good legs. Decanted, on the nose offers intense cornucopia of brambles, blackberries and currants with tobacco, cedar, spices and loamy soil notes. Very layered, rich and not hot alcohol sensations. This great nose anticipate a formidable, velvety, thick palate. Unfortunately some disappointment is brought in by some green tannins on the palate. If was not for this, the wine would have deserved full 5 points. Acidity is medium, Tannins med+, alcohol med+ but well hidden, medium+ to full body with very good concentrated grippy mid palate and great flavor intensity. Long finish.
Very Good to Outstanding quality, Drink Now but will improve in the next 10+ years, Premium Price. Cabernet Sauvignon 80%, Merlot 10%, Petit Verdot 6%, Cabernet Franc 4%. Napa Valley, California, USA.
