M.Chapoutier Domaine Tournon Shay's Flat Vineyard Shiraz 2011 (4.5/5)
Notes: It appears deep ruby red with good viscosity. On the nose it's clean offering vibrant intensity of blackberries-blueberry coulis, mineral irony notes, roses and liquorice prevailing on the black pepper. On the palate is dry, with balanced tannin and acidity, the alcohol is med+ but it's well hidden in the wine's weave. Overall very balanced and, although not as peppery as some New Zealand example tasted some weeks ago, it distinctly appears like a cool climate Syrah. Medium+ body good flavor intensity and Med/Med+ finish.
Very Good quality, Developing, Drink Now or hold up to 10 years, High Price. Shiraz. Victoria, Australia.
