Lirico Mauricio Lorca Gran Guarda Selecta Blend 2008 (4.3/5)

Notes: It appears impenetrable purple black with very good legs. On the nose it's clean offering medium+ intensity of blackberries compote with hints of bluberries and violets, black pepper, coconut cream, smooth Chuao dark chocolate, unsmoked cigar,  blackcurrant-leaves and thick figs paste. Elegant and complex despite the evident alcohol coming to the nose. there is great integrity of the different varietals composing the blend that are displayed with very good harmony. On the palate is dry, with medium acidity, high alcohol, full body body with med+ solid but mature tannins, good concentrations of flavors recalling the nose and med+ finish.
Very Good quality, Drink Now but will improve with aging (it still looks like a purple baby despite 6 years from vintage), Premium Price. 60%Malbec, 20%Syrah, 15%Petit Verdot, 5% Cab. Franc. Mendoza, Uco Valley, Argentina.
