Heggies Vineyard Botrytis Riesling 2011 (4.1/5)

Notes: It appears medium bright gold with good viscosity. On the nose it's clean offering pronounced exotic notes of pineapple, passion fruit, peaches and figs, with floral and honey hints. The botrytis character comes out with super ripe apricots. On the palate is luscious (190 g/l); the acidity is not low (10.9 g/l) but definitely the wine is forward welcoming and plays on the limit of balance; low alcohol (10.0%), medium+ to full body with good flavor intensity and Medium+ finish. The wine is very approachable and gorgeous right now and, although not the most complex of botrytized wines, will deliver great pleasure for the next 5 years at least.
Good quality, Drink Now or hold, High Price. Riesling, Eden Valley, South Australia.
